Angry Birds released on Intel AppUp center

The popular iPhone game Angry Birds by Rovio has made it’s way on to yet another platform. The game recently made it’s way to Intel’s App Store and is targeting the netbook market. Rovio is said to be excited at tapping into the netbook market, as there is an estimated 38 million netbook owners worldwide.

Angry Birds is compatible with Windows XP and Windows 7. You will need to download the Intel Appup Center installer before you can download Angry Birds for your netbook, as well as any other games if you don’t already have it installed. Unfortunately the pricing for the netbook version, isn’t as welcoming as the iPhone and Android versions. On the iPhone Angry Birds is only 99 cents, while Android users can download and play Angry Birds for free, where as the Intel App version will cost $4.99. If you’ve already got the game, you may want to pass, however if you haven’t got an iPhone, iPod Touch or an Android device, it is worth the $5 price tag and even though I have Angry Birds on my phone, I gave it a go on my netbook and found it to be even more fun and clear to see what you’re doing and where you’re aiming, without any fingers in the way.
